Overview of Site:
Elevation: 5,200-foot Elevation
Amenities: 2 Group campsites can accommodate up to 24 people in site 1; up to 80 people in site 2. Vault toilets. There is no water available. Please bring enough water for cooking, cleaning, and drinking.
Hiking: The Silver Moccassin Trail is just a 1 mile hike to the trailhead; Chilao Visitor Center 1.5 miles away.
Fees: Camping - This site can be reserved by calling Toll Free 1-877-444-6777 or online at www.recreation.gov.
RV’s: Maximum RV length is 30' - No hookups.
The campground will accomodate groups as large as 104 campers. The fees range from $36 - $120 per night depending on the number of areas reserved. Area #1 is $36 per night and can accomodate up to 24 campers. Area #2 is $120 per night and can accomodate up to 80 campers. Maximum RV length is 30 feet. Checkout time is at 11 am. Check-in time is 2 pm. Be Bear Aware.

Directions
From Interstate 210 in the city of La Canada, exit at Angeles Crest Highway (Hwy 2) and drive northeast for 26 miles to the signed Chilao Campground on the left. Follow Lower Chilao Road about 1.25 miles to the signed and gated campground on the left. Call (818) 899-1900 for current conditions and additional information.
