El Cariso Visitor Center

Located on the Trabuco Ranger District the El Cariso Visitor Center opened to the public on October 8. 2004. The visitor center is open on Saturday's, expect the third Saturday of the month, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The center is located next to the El Cariso fire station off of the Ortega Highway. At 32353 Ortega Highway Elsinore, CA 92530 Phone number 951-678-3700.

The visitor center provides visitors with campground, recreational opportunities, forest use restrictions information, and wilderness permits.


 

Current Conditions
Maps and passes cannot be purchased at the visitor center but may be purchased online. Visitor maps for each national forest and grassland provide forest-wide information on attractions, facilities, services, and opportunities. These maps are available to purchase from individual forests, the National Forest Map Store and many retail outlets. Recreation passes cannot be purchased at the visitor center but may be may be purchased online, from a local vendor, or from one of the district offices.
