French Camp Campground

French Camp is located in the Rock Creek area of the White Mountain Ranger District midway between Bishop and Mammoth Lakes off US 395. This large campground has 86 campsites.

General Information

Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

America the Beautiful Senior and Access Passes are accepted for half priced camping. Follow the instructions on the bulletin board at the campground.

Maximum stay 14 days. Active bear area. All food must be secured overnight and when not attended; bear boxes are provided and must be used (typical bear box size 48" x 30" x 36"). Max RV length 35'. Always keep a clean camp and do not feed wildlife.

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $35 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $10 per vehicle per night

Dogs must be leashed in all developed recreation sites.

Directions

From Bishop go north on Hwy 395 approximately 23 miles to Tom's Place.  Turn southwest on Rock Creek Road and go approximately one mile to the campground on the right.
