Intake 2 Campground

Current Conditions
Southern California Edison (SCE) will perform repairs to the service spillway at Intake No. 2 reservoir (July - Sept 2026). This will require water levels be reduced by approximately 8 feet while the repairs and necessary studies are completed. This project supports the continued safe operation of the dam. SCE will begin mobilizing heavy equipment 7/6/2026 and anticipates completing activities and demobilizing equipment no later than 9/31/2026. Intermittent traffic control and temporary area closures may be implemented for the safety of anglers and other recreation users during this time. Typical workdays are Monday - Saturday, sunrise to sunset. *All dates are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances including weather.

Known for the fishing, Intake 2 is a small lake along the road to Lake Sabrina, just past the South Lake turn off. There are 5 walk in sites on the west shore of the lake and 11 sites suitable for small vehicles near the creek above Intake 2.

Reservations

No reservations, register at campground.

General Information

Typically June through October. 

Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

Active bear area; bear boxes are provided and must be used (typical bear box size 48" x 30" x 36").

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $34 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $10 per vehicle per night

Dogs must be leashed in all developed recreation sites.
