Kennedy Meadows Campground

Located on the Pacific Crest Trail near the South Fork of the Kern River, Kennedy Meadows campground is surrounded by the South Sierra, Golden Trout, and Domeland wildernesses. Some of the 37 sites are shaded by juniper and pinion.

No trash removal and no water. Restrooms on the east side of the campground.

No reservations. First come, first served.

General Information

Plan Ahead! Fill up your gas, bring water, use a map.

This remote area has no cell phone service. Do not rely on navigation or communication based on cellular service.

Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

  • Food and refuse should be secured so that animals cannot access.
  • No trash service. Pack out your garbage.
  • Maximum stay 14 days.

No fees are required for this site

Dogs must be leased in all developed recreation sites.

Directions

From US 395, north of Ridgecrest, CA, exit highway 395 near Pearsonville and travel west on Nine Mile Canyon Rd (paved road) to Kennedy Meadows.
