Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center

Experience winter unspoiled on Tamarack's 19 miles of freshly groomed track that meanders around Twin Lakes and the Mammoth Lakes Basin. On skis or snowshoes, Tamarack is exhilarating and refreshing for outdoor enthusiasts of all abilities. The Ski Center is located next to Tamarack Lodge in Mammoth Lakes.

In partnership with Mammoth Mountain, Forest Service volunteers lead guided Naturalist tours Fridays through Sundays, plus Federal Monday holidays at 11am, in both Snowshoeing and Cross Country Skiing. 

Have you heard of our Sherpa tours?  You will be joining DaveSchacht, who can both ski and golf and has a license to thrill as your Sherpa driver. These are available on Fridays and Saturdays, and will include ski rental, a ride on the Sherpa (snowmobile on steroids), a guided ski tour, and a sack lunch on Pokonobe's sun deck. You may ski back down or hitch a ride back on the Sherpa.
