The Klamath National Forest invite members of the public to attend in-person public meeting or virtual via Microsoft Teams May 21, 2025 from 5-7 p.m.
The Klamath and Shasta-Trinity National Forests are proposing the Klamath and Shasta-Trinity Prescribed Fire Project, a long-term effort to implement prescribed fire and associated fuels reduction across National Forest System lands within the boundaries of the National Forests.
The primary goal of the proposed project is to improve ecosystem integrity and resilience to severe wildfires, restore natural fire regimes, and protect nearby communities, as well as important social and ecological values.
A draft proposed action, complete with detailed maps and supporting information—including instructions on how to submit public comments—are available on the project website and AGOL story board.
