Firewood permits now available for online purchase

YREKA, Calif, April 28, 2025—Firewood permits for the Klamath National Forest are now available for purchase through a new online E-Permit system. Permits may be purchased by computer or mobile device any time and eliminate traveling to your local Forest Service office.
“This online E-Permit system will allow members of the public to gather information about special forest product permits and make it more convenient to purchase firewood permits online rather than visiting a local Forest Service office,” said Chris Christofferson, Forest Supervisor, Klamath National Forest.
This new service provides flexibility and convenience to our forest users. To purchase a firewood permit or to learn more about permits and gathering firewood online at: [Insert link to forest’s page where visitor can be directed to the E-Permit home page. Traditional firewood permits will still be available to purchase at local Forest Service offices.
