Biking

Forest Service roads are open to shared use including mountain bikes. Beware of large trucks, recreational vehicles, hikers and occasional horsemen.  Maps of open forest roads are available at Klamath District Offices and by mail from the National Forest Store.  Forest roads at higher elevations may remain snow covered well into June depending on weather.

Road Cycling

Bicycling the paved highways through the forest can be challenging and difficult.  Many of these roads were built over old logging trails and the grade often exceeds 6% or steeper.  Be sure to plan your bicycle trip carefully and incorporate good maps into your plan.
