Ballinger Campground
Badlands terrain - All Terrain Vehicle and motorcycle use area. There are 13 campsites.
9 sites are available on the reservation system. 3 campsites are on a first-come, first- serve basis.
In campgrounds and picnic areas, dogs must be kept on a leash. Dogs must wear a collar with current tags at all times, as state and county laws apply on National Forest System lands.

General Information
Ballinger Campground and day use area offers the perfect getaway for those looking to access off-highway vehicle (OHV) trails. Explore 11 four-wheel drive roads, 12 all-terrain vehicle (ATV) trails, and 14 motorcycle trails, which include loose dirt, hard pack, sand, steep hills, and a few jumps and berms.
January - December
Check-in time: 3:00pm, check-out time: 12:00 noon, Quiet Hours: 10:00pm – 6:00am

- Fires are allowed only in designated fire rings.
- NO overnight camping. Day use only.
- Pack out what you pack in and Leave No Trace!
- Vehicles on the OHV routes require either a license plate, red, or green sticker. Information for red and green sticker regulations and licensing requirements can be found at www.ohv.parks.ca.gov
- Must have current registration and operating spark arrestor. You are required by the California Vehicle Code to have a spark arrester, maintained and in effective working order, whenever you are operating your OHV on any forest-covered land, brush-covered land, or grass-covered land.
- Dogs MUST be on a leash not longer than six feet, or otherwise under physical restrictive control [36 CFR 261.16(j)]. Read more info about pet ethics.
The Interagency Senior and Acess Passes provide pass holders with 50% off of camping fees - not valid for day use within the campground or extra vehicle parking fee.
Overnight Use:
Single Site: $30 per night
Additional Weekend or Holiday Fee: $2 per night
Day Use:
$10 per vehicle per day
This site is managed by the Parks Management Company (PMC) for the Forest Service. $30/night for camping, $10 per extra vehicle per night. Day use fee (within the campground) is $10 per vehicle.

Directions
From Los Angeles: Take I-5 north to 126 west to Santa Paula Hwy 150 exit. Go north on Hwy 150 for 20 miles to the intersection of highway 33. Go north over the mountain, 55 miles to Ballinger Cyn Road 9N10. Turn right and proceed 2 miles to the entrance.
Located at the end of Ballinger Canyon Road 9N10, approximately 3.5 miles east of State Highway 33.
