Cold Creek Trailhead

The trailhead is at Windy Gap on the west side of the road. The trail sign was burned in the Ranch Fire. This area has burned in a recent fire. Downed trees, dropped limbs, stump holes and unstable terrain may be present. Trails may not be cleared. Avoid parking under dead standing trees.

Current Conditions

In Fall 2023 crews cleared about .5 mi of trail from the trailhead. During summer 2024 crews will continue working the trail, weather permitting. The remaining trail is not yet cleared and very difficult to locate. This area has burned in a recent fire. Downed trees, dropped limbs, stump holes, unstable terrain, erosion and overgrown brush are present. Avoid standing or camping under dead standing trees.
