Campground: Atkisson Group Camp

Sitting just west of Washington's second largest mountain, Mt. Adams, Atkisson Group Camp is open for campers between May and September and becomes a Sno-Park for a variety of winter recreation activities in winter. 

The group camp is located in a pleasant, forested area, it has a large, paved area with plenty of room for RVs. The site will accommodate up to 50 people and offers 99 feet of paved driveway. There is a covered, common shelter with a wood stove. Campers must bring drinking water, but vault toilets, a fire ring & picnic table are available.

The surrounding terrain is has unused spur roads suitable for hiking and biking. The site is close to the interesting lava tube formations, Ice Caves and Natural Bridges, Goose Lake, and early season huckleberry fields, during the huckleberry season.

This group camp is managed by a concessionaire and is open for use mid-May through mid-September.

Directions

From the Ranger Station in Trout Lake, Washington drive west on Highway 141 to the forest boundary. Just before crossing the forest boundary turn left on spur road 001 and continue to Atkinsson Group Camp and Sno-Park site.
