Site: Hemlock Picnic Area

This site on Trout Creek offers a covered picnic area and viewing platform at a steelhead recovery site on the historic Wind River Nursery and Hemlock CCC Camp. This is a great jumping off point for more strenuous hikes and adventures, but also an easy place to experience nature and history.

This shaded and pleasant picnic site on Trout Creek offers a covered area with picnic tables and a   viewing platform on the Wind River. The river is experiencing change and regeneration after the removal of Hemlock dam.  The viewing platform adjacent to the river provides a unique opportunity to observe the recovery process.
