Site: Marble Mountain Group Picnic Shelter
Marble Mountain Group Picnic Site is located at the Marble Mountain SnoPark on the south side of Mount St. Helens. on Forest Road 83. It is situated between many popular sites on Mount St Helens, such as Ape Cave, June Lake, Ape Canyon and Lava Canyon.
A part of the Washington State Sno-Park program in the winter months, Marble Mountain Group Picnic Site is offered as a day use group picnic area Saturdays only, June - September.
This site is a great location for a family reunion, birthday gathering or outdoors group meeting. The 1000 square foot shelter, built in 2018, contains three large picnic tables and a wood stove for heating. There is no potable water available at this site. The shelter is wired for electricity to power the lights, outlets and fans; you must provide your own generator and 110 V connector cord. This shelter is maintained by the US Forest Service in cooperation with a volunteer organization.

The Shelter is available for day-use rentals during summer on Saturdays only via recreation.gov.

- Shelter capacity limited to 74 persons.
- No overnight use or camping.
- Limited garbage service available; please pack out garbage other than the trash cans available on site.
- Music performances or other audiovisual media using amplification are not permitted.
- Vandalism or damage to the facility or adjacent parking lot and restroom punishable under 36 CFR 261.9(a).
- All personal property, decoration and other non-government supplied materials must be removed from the shelter after the rental.
