Site: Marble Mountain Group Picnic Shelter

The Marble Mountain Picnic Shelter is located on Forest Road 83. It is situated between many popular sites on Mount St Helens, such as Ape Cave, June Lake, Ape Canyon and Lava Canyon.

General Information

June 15 - September 15, Saturdays only.

Dawn - Dusk 

  • Shelter capacity limited to 74 persons.
  • No overnight use or camping.
  • Limited garbage service available; please pack out garbage other than the trash cans available on site.
  • Music performances or other audiovisual media using amplification are not permitted.
  • Vandalism or damage to the facility or adjacent parking lot and restroom punishable under 36 CFR 261.9(a).
  • All personal property, decoration and other non-government supplied materials must be removed from the shelter after the rental.

$100/day*; Up to 74 people  *Fee starts Summer 2025

Travel Considerations

Forest Road 83 is paved but rough. Use caution.

Large parking lot with capacity for oversize vehicles. No overnight parking or camping allowed.
