Bedal Campground
This campground offers a more primitive, quiet camping experience just off the main road. Situated along the Sauk River in old growth forest, where every campsite can hear the rushing water. Activities in the area include fishing, white water rafting, hiking, and bicycle riding.
The campground has 22 standard campsites. A large (18 feet by 18 feet) Adirondack day-use shelter built of old growth timber is available.

General Information
The campground is normally serviced by a host stationed at Clear Creek campground from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. Otherwise an attendant will be visiting the campground two to four times daily.

All developed site regulations apply. Dogs must be on leash, campfires in developed rings only, quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. Fireworks are prohibited. Stay limit is 14 days.
Large motor homes and trailers not recommended. Max vehicle length: 32ft.

Directions
From Darrington, Washington, travel 16 miles southeast on on the Mountain Loop Scenic Byway. The campground is located on the west side of the road at mile post 37, just beyond the junction of the Mountain Loop Highway and Forest Road 49.
Travel Considerations
Note that the final 7.5 miles are along a graveled single lane section of road and that road conditions can be variable due to heavy use, weather, and periodic maintenance.

Other Amenities
Visitors can access the Sauk River from the campground. A basic, back-in boat ramp is located on the Campground Loop road for whitewater paddlers. Parking is located adjacent to the bridge and across the Mountain Loop road from the campground. No fees.
