Directions
From Hood River, OR - Drive 26.5 , miles south on Hwy 35. From Hwy. 35 turn off at road 44 (Dufur Mill Road). Turn east on this paved road for 3.8 miles and then turn off onto gravel High Prairie Road 4410. After 4.7 miles, (always keep turning uphill), reach a T-shaped intersection where the gravel road turns to dirt. Turn left for 200 yards and park at the trailhead parking lot.
(Posts block vehicles from the old summit road - now a hiking trail.)
