Biking

More than 200,000 people enjoy bicycling in Mt. Hood National Forest each year, and the sport’s popularity grows each year. If you don’t have a bicycle, or you are new to the sport, there are licensed outfitters and guides who are prepared to show you how.

Mountain Biking

With about 140 miles of trails open to mountain bikes, Mt. Hood National Forest is a great place for everyone to enjoy trails! We ask that bikers share the trail with other users, especially hikers and riders on horseback. A basic trail etiquette rule is "Wheels Yield to Heels": Bicyclists & motorized vehicles yield to all other users while hikers & walkers should yield to horseback riders & pack animals.
