Tollgate Trailhead
Tollgate Trailhead (1800') is located near the Tollgate Campground & Day Use Area, one of the most convenient sites to visit from Portland.
The nearly 10-mile Pioneer Bridle Trail, which cuts through the campground, descends most of its length to this trailhead. A replica of the original Barlow Road tollgate is just east of the campground. The gate was used by travelers along the Oregon Trail from 1879 to 1919.
