Alpine Trail

Alpine Trail is a steep 2.1 mile trail that travels from Government Camp area to Timberline Lodge. In the winter many people downhill ski from Timberline down to Government Camp. This trail is not recommended for cross-country skiers. In the summer and early fall the trail has an abundance of huckleberries.

When snow conditions allow, Timberline Lodge grooms this trail.

Directions

From Sandy- travel east on Hwy 26 past Government Camp & take left onto Timberline Rd. Travel about 5 miles up Timberline Road and turn left into the Alpine Campground.
