Brown Creek Interpretive Trailhead

Provides access to: Brown Creek Nature Loop Trail #877 a 0.8-mile accessible trail with interpretive signs and great wildlife viewing opportunities.

The Olympic National Forest Headquarters office is a one story building, made of timber and stone.

Directions

From Shelton, WA take US Highway 101 for 6 miles north. Then turn west onto the Skokomish Valley Road. Follow Skokomish Valley Road for about 8 miles to the forest boundary. Continue on Forest Service Road 23 for about another 5 miles to Forest Service Road 2353. Turn right and drive approximately ¾ mile to the South Fork Skokomish River Bridge. Cross the bridge and make a left turn onto Forest Service Road 2340. The trailhead will be on the right.

This trailhead is located adjacent to Brown Creek Campground along the shore of the South Fork Skokomish River near its confluence with Brown Creek.

There is potable water from a hand pump available at this trailhead during the season of May to September.
