Forest Order
Pursuant to 16 USC 551, 36 CFR 261.50 (b), the following prohibition is established within the Walla Walla Ranger District of the Umatilla National Forest. This order becomes effective upon signature and will remain in force until January 1, 2026, or the order is rescinded, whichever is sooner. This order rescinds and supersedes Forest Order 06-14-06-22-04, signed on December 16, 2021, by Forest Supervisor Eric Watrud.
PROHIBITION:
- Being on any National Forest System road that has been closed due to storm damage. 36 CFR § 261.54(e)
STORM DAMAGE ROAD CLOSURE:
The Storm Damage Emergency Road Closure includes Forest Service Road (FSR) 3200 from the bridge over the South Fork Umatilla River in T3N R37E S22 to the hairprin turn at Thomas Creek in T2N R37E S13, a distance of approximately 8 miles.

EXEMPTIONS:
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:
- Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission.
- Any Federal, State, or local Officer or volunteer in the performance of an official duty.
- Persons under a special use authorization that allows the otherwise prohibited activity, and contractors and their agents directly engaged in approved work outlined in an operating plan or permit.
These restrictions are enacted for public health and safety.
These restrictions are in addition to those prohibitions enumerated in Subpart 'A' of 36 CFR 261 and any other special restrictions pertaining to the described lands.
