Deduct Pond Trail Link
Categorical Exclusion - The project would extend the North Fork Walla Walla trail from FR 6500040 to Deduct Pond and to the S.F. Walla Walla trailhead. This project was appealed. The appeal decision upheld the District Ranger's decision to proceed with the Project. The trail has been built and is open for use. A lawsuit has been filed to stop furture implmentation of this project. The lawsuit also seeks to block motorized use on: the South Fork Walla Walla River Trail; the North Fork Walla Walla River Trail; and all other spur and connector motorized routes in the Walla Walla River trail network. A settlement agreement was reached between the Forest Service and the Plaintiff in the lawsuit over this project. The lawsuit has been withdrawn.
