Hunting, Fishing and Shooting
The Umatilla National Forest offers several types of fishing and hunting opportunities for all ages and experience levels. Each year visitors enjoy fishing at high mountains, reservoirs, rivers, streams in the summer and into the ice fishing season and hunting high in the mountains in thick lodge pine stands, in open grassland canyon benches and in sagebrush valleys.
Check with the state managers for both the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and Idaho Department of Fish and Game for area fishing and hunting regulations.
