Bickle Knob Observation Tower

High atop Bickle Knob sits the Bickle Knob observation tower where visitors can catch the panoramic vista of the surrounding forest. Located approximately 10 miles northeast of Elkins, West Virginia, on Forest Road 91 (Stuart Memorial Drive).

The nearby Otter Creek Wilderness offers stream fishing and hiking located . Middle Point Trail #140, 3.7 miles in length is located along Forest Road 91 (Stuart Drive) west of the campground. There are several trails in the Otter Creek Wilderness that offer more challenging experiences just next door.

Open during daylight hours only during the open season.

  • Limited to day-use only.

Directions

From Elkins, go east on State Highway 33 for approximately 4 miles. Turn north on WV Route 33/8 (old US Route 33) and travel approximately 2 miles. Turn north on WV Route 6 and drive 1/2 mile just past the entrance to Stuart Recreation Area. Turn right on Forest Road 91(Stuart Memorial Drive) and go approximately 4 miles and turn left on Forest Road 91A.
