Lake County (through Compass Consultants Inc.) has submitted a proposal requesting a special-use permit to construct, install, operate, and maintain fiber optic cable (RUS financed) on/over National Forest System (NFS) lands. The legal notice for the EA comment period was published in the Duluth News Tribune on January 17, 2014.
