Dark Lake

Dark Lake, a 230 acre lake, has a concrete boat ramp suitable for most boats, a picnic site, and an accessible fishing deck. The lake offers a wide variety of fish including walleye, northern pike and panfish. Nearby lakes include: Knuckey (Mud) Lake, Clear Lake and Camp Four Lake.

  • Camping not allowed at boat landing. 

No fees are required for this site

Boating

When boating with your dog, follow all Minnesota State boating laws.

  • Use care when getting your dog in and out of the boat to ensure their safety.
  • Consider both you and your dog wearing a life jacket.
  • Provide shade for your pet.
  • Remember to bring their food and water as it may be unsafe for them to drink lake water.

Dark Lake is located 10 miles north of Buhl, MN.

  • Take Highway 25 north of Buhl for 10 1/2 miles.
  • Turn left on County 65 for short distance.
  • Turn left on the North Dark Lake Road to the Dark Lake boat landing.
