Resurrection River Cabin

A 12 x 14-foot rustic cabin overlooking the wide Resurrection River valley and mountains beyond. Set in a dense forest of spruce and hemlock. Access is difficult and visitation is on a first-come, first-served basis. No fees are currently being charged.

The Martin Creek ford at mile 4.5 Resurrection River Trail can be very difficult during high water, such as after rain storms or during snow melt. Low water is generally late summmer to fall, between storms.

This cabin sleeps 6, and has a table, wood stove, splitting maul, crosscut saw, and outhouse.

Not included: running water, electricity, mattresses or bedding, cooking utensils, or cut firewood.

General Information

Resurrection River Trail is closed to motorized vehicles from May 1- November 30. Resurrection River Trail is closed to pack/saddle stock from April 1- June 30.

This cabin is not on the recreation.gov reservation system. First come first serve. No fees are collected.

Directions

This cabin is on the Resurrection River Trail. At mile 6 (1.5 miles past Martin Creek ford) turn onto short spur trail to cabin. The last 7 miles of Exit Glacier Road before the trailhead is not plowed in winter. This cabin can be accessed by hiking or snowshoeing. All other uses are not recommended.
