- Abstract:
- Historical documents, images, maps, line drawings, blueprints, and other materials from USDA Forest Service Research work across the southern United States are included in this database. Subjects include materials on many different aspects of the people, place, programs, and policies related to Forest Service research and development programs in the area now covered by the Forest Service’s Southern Research Station. This collection of materials is part of the Station’s effort to document its first century of operations, from the openings of the Appalachian and Southern Forest Experiment Stations on July 1, 1921, to the present date.
