Dispersed Camping
Dispersed camping, or camping outside of designated campgrounds, is a great way to enjoy the peace and solitude of the Forest.
Darrington Ranger District provides access to Wilderness and the Mountain Loop Scenic Byway with top hiking, camping, boating, and river access.

The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail (PCT) extends 2,650 miles from Canada to Mexico. Although some hikers have traveled the length in one trip, many take the trail in segments over a period of years. The northern section of the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail is rugged and it is the wettest section along the entire route. Make sure to plan ahead and be prepared.
