When it comes to camping on the Allegheny National Forest, there is something for everyone! From sites for a large RV with electrical hookups, to creating your own campsite in the general forest, there is camping for every skill and type of camper.
Developed Campgrounds and Cabin Rentals
If a site/cabin requires a reservation, visit www.recreation.gov to reserve at least 7 days in advance.
Reservations cannot be made by calling the forest.
Developed campsites that do not need a reservation, are first-come first-served. The forest is not able to manage a list of availability.
Know Before You Go
Whether you are roughing it or at one of the many developed campgrounds, there are many ways to make sure that your experience is fun and safe. At a minimum you should pack a first aid kit, bring emergency supplies, and make sure to check the weather and any forest alerts before visiting.
