The Nordic winter winds usher in a thick mantel of snow to the northern Wisconsin region. Cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling are popular activities here when the thermometer drops.
The forest provides many miles of groomed & tracked cross-country ski trails as well as snowshoeing trails during the winter months.
Updated 2-16-2019: We got more snow this week for all to enjoy! The trails are groomed and in excellent condition for all to enjoy. Remember Monday is President's Day and a fee free day for those areas that charge a use fee. Click here to read the Feb. 16 ski report.
