Forest Plan - Errata Sheets
Corrects the Suitable Acres listed in the ROD and FEIS Summary.
Suitable Acres listed in the Record of Decision (page 13) and in the FEIS Summary (page 46) should read 864,000 acres rather than 862,000 acres.
Adds to the Suitable Acre statement found in the first Errata and corrects the ASQ for the Chequamegon and Nicolet Sides as displayed in Appendix GG.
An errata sheet accompanying the initial mailing of the Final Environmental Impact Statement, 2004 Forest Plan, and related documents stated the following:
"Suitable Acres listed in the Record of Decision (page 13) and in the FEIS Summary (page 46) should read 864,000 acres rather than 862,000 acres."
That statement still holds true and the following is added:
The ASQ for the Chequamegon is 790 million board feet and for the Nicolet is 520 million board feet. Please substitute this information for that shown on page 13 of the Record of Decision, where ASQ is listed in error as 720 million board feet and 590 million board feet for the Chequamegon and Nicolet, respectively. The correct ASQ by Forest was displayed and used for analysis in the FEIS, and the Forest-wide total ASQ is unchanged.
Appendix GG of the 2004 Forest Plan displays projected outputs by decade for the first five decades of the planning period. The table shows combined, Forest-wide totals for decades 1-5; subtotals by Forest are displayed in the Final Environmental Impact Statement for decades 1, 5, 10 and 15. For clarity, Forest subtotals are now displayed in the Forest Plan appendix as well as the FEIS. See the corrected Appendix GG.
Forest Recreation Site Analysis
The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest has been working to develop a strategy that will prioritize investments, as well as pursue changes in operations or maintenance of developed recreation sites and facilities to contribute to the sustainability of the Forest’s recreation program.
