West Side of TetonsNumerous winter activities exist on the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. These include ice fishing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, crosscountry skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding and fat biking just to name a few. Please remember that recreating in the backcountry can be dangerous. Make sure you check avalanche conditions before heading out to play.

 

2021 Prospectus Solicitation

The Teton Basin and Palisades Ranger Districts are issuing a prospectus to solicit applications from individuals or businesses who are interested in providing Outfitter and Guide services to the public. Multiple opportunities are available to provide guided snowmobile tours, instructional snowmobile classes, and / or avalanche classes specific to snowmobile riders. Successful applicants will be required to meet all necessary requirements for a Special Use Permit issued by the U.S. Forest Service and a license by the Idaho Outfitter and Guides Licensing Board.
