Single Event Volunteer Projects

Throughout the year, groups, partners, and Forest Service staff host single event volunteer projects where volunteers can just show up and volunteer, no application needed! These are great opportunities for interested volunteers to get their hands dirty, meet fellow volunteers, and give back to the forest they love.

Participants under age 18 must have a Volunteer Agreement signed by their parent or legal guardian; these agreements are event specific and you will need to check with the host for details.

For all Single Event Volunteer Projects, the Forest Service asks participants to wear long pants, long sleeves, closed-toe shoes, and any additional clothes appropriate for the weather. Please bring sun protection, water, and snacks. The Single Event Volunteer Project flyer will provide additional information for participants. Volunteers need to bring a completed Emergency Contact Form to the project.

If you have any questions, please email the volunteer coordinator.
