  • TPCM Team Honored at the Esri 2017 International Users Conference

    Enterprise TPCM team’s infographic entitled "Talking Points Collaborative Mapping - Esri Crowdsource Reporter / Manager" was honored by receiving third place in Esri’s Map Gallery submission in the Instructional Map category.

  • Pacific Southwest Regional Rangeland Vegetation Production and Performance Assessment

    The Pacific Southwest Region hired the Enterprise Program to design and test new spatial analysis tools that rangeland managers could use to identify potential resource concerns at the grazing allotment scale, based on bio-physical indicators.

  • Enterprise in Peru!

    Enterpriser Camilo Arias collaborated with colleagues from the Amazonian states of San Martin and Ucayali environmental agencies in Peru on designing and conducting a watershed condition assessment workshop.

  • One Enterprise Has Arrived

    Individual Enterprise units have been combined into a One Enterprise approach, improving overall effectiveness and efficiencies. While the names have changed, Enterprise remains dedicated to providing high quality services to clients in support of the Forest Service mission, now and in the years to come.

    The Enterprise Program (EP) recently collaborated with the Angeles National Forest (ANF) and California Native Plant Society (CNPS) to map and assess the status of bigcone Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga macrocarpa).

  • National Heritage Leadership Team Meeting

    Enterprisers attended the National Heritage Leadership Team Meeting along with Forest Service regional archaeologists. It was a special meeting to discuss national heritage topics and honor the 50th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act.

  • High Honors in Region 9

    TEAMS Archaeologist Amanda Campbell, along with Midewin National Tall Grass staff, are recipients of an Eastern Region Honor award for Forest Service Strategic Goal: Applying Knowledge Globally.

    The Fire Behavior Assessment Team (FBAT) is a unique rapid response fire crew that specializes in real-time monitoring of fire behavior on active fires.

  • Ouachita Fall Fun

    August Wright and crew (Candice Milner, Dan Slovak, Ed DeArce, and Ray Dryburgh) spent time on the Ouachita National Forest assisting the District crew with the completion of the Young Spring Timber Sale, a part of the District’s 2017 timber target.

    Enterprisers gave back to the community by walking in the Relay for Life.

  • New Landfire Data Guide

    Don Helmbrecht, TEAMS Fire Management Specialist, and co-author Kori Blankenship, Fire Ecologist with The Nature Conservancy, have produced a guide called Modifying LANDFIRE Geospatial Data for Local Applications, for anyone working with LANDFIRE data.

  • Forest Service Purchases Land in Cube Cove, Returning it to Wilderness

    In July, a landmark purchase agreement that will return over 22,000 acres of land back into Wilderness within the million-acre Admiralty Island National Monument was signed. ETS was part of the Phase I assessment-land purchase process.
