Natural Resources
The Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest is charged with managing and sustaining the natural resources within its borders. As part of the multi-use model for public lands, this includes the harvesting of resources as well as restoration and conservation efforts.
Ongoing efforts include waterway restoration, invasive species weed abatement, timber production and harvest, and more. We strive to manage the natural resources under our care in a way that is responsive to current public desire and leaves the ecosystem healthy for future generations to enjoy.
