Pacific Northwest Trail Recreation

The Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail passes through the Flathead National Forest on its route from Glacier National Park to the Pacific Ocean offers a variety of opportunities to explore a variety of landscapes.

The Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail crosses lands of multiple jurisdictions, including National Forests, National Parks, as well as local and state lands.  The best resource for information on any part of the trail, for all jurisdictions is the Pacific Northwest Trail Association.

Ben Rover cabin is located 35 miles north of Columbia Falls, MT on the North Fork Road near Polebridge. Most of the year the cabin is accessible by driving.

The Whitefish Divide trail is 37.0 miles long. It begins at Werner Divide Road #1658 and ends at Jct. Ninko-thompson Seton Trail. # 28.
