Moose Creek Cabin

The Moose Creek Ranger Station is a two bedroom log cabin located in the Tenmile Creek drainage west of Helena, Montana.  It provides access to numerous recreation opportunities including: hiking, picnicking, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, and other activities. If you're seeking a connection with history and an opportunity to spend one or more evenings on the Helena National Forest, the Moose Creek Cabin is available for your use. The cabin, constructed in 1907, was previously used by the Forest Service during the early history of the agency. Moose Creek Cabin served as a Forest Service Ranger Station, guard station, and work center for the Civilian Conservation Corps. Through the efforts of the Forest Service, Montana Discovery Foundation and volunteers the cabin and site have been renovated for public use.
