Trout Creek Canyon Trail

The Trout Creek Canyon trail is 3.0 miles in length and fairly flat for the first mile. It begins outside Vigilante Campground and ends at Forest Service Road #138. Although the trail is open to mountain bikes and stock, it is managed primarily for hiking.

Directions

Located approximately 24 miles northeast of Helena in the Big Belt Mountains. Follow Highway 280 east of Helena about 16 miles to the small community of York. Proceed northeast along Trout Creek another 8 miles to the end of the road and the campground. Trailhead is located in the Campground.
