Off-Highway Vehicles (OHV)

Motorized vehicle travel is allowed on designated roads and trails throughout the Bighorn National Forest.  OHVs are restricted to 50" at the widest point and must stay on the main trail, read more about the off road vehicle program.  A Wyoming ORV decal is required on off road recreational vehicles, visit the Wyoming State Trails website for more information. Visit the motor vehicle use map to find the best place to ride and Forest regulations.  To improve your and other's outdoor experience, practice Tread Lightly! and Leave No Trace

OHV Trail Riding

Please pick up a copy of the Bighorn Motorized Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) for roads and trails that are open to OHV use.  Remember that in Wyoming you must have a current State of Wyoming ORV registration decal. Learn more on the Wyoming Trails Program website, https://wyoparks.wyo.gov/index.php/orv-trails. Within Forest Service campgrounds and other recreation sites, use cars, motorcycles, or other motor vehicles only for entering or leaving.
