Bear Lake Picnic Site
This is a free day use area that accesses some great trout fishing and has a large fishing pier with perfect views of the Flat Tops Wilderness. There are 2 picnic tables and fire grates.
No camping is allowed at the day use area, however there are many camping options in the area.

Directions
From HWY 131, get off at the town of Yampa on Moffat Street (next to Sinclair's Gas Station)
Proceed a few blocks through downtown Yampa. At Montgomery's General Store and Antlers Bar & Cafe, follow CTY Rd 7 and signs pointing towards Yamcolo Reservoir. Follow CTY Rd 7 for 7 miles, here the road turns to dirt which is the Forest Boundary and turns into Forest Service Road 900, proceed past Yamcolo Reservoir to the Bear Lake Campground entrance.
Beyond the campground the road comes to a dead end at 17 miles at Stillwater Reservoir and Trailhead.
