Granite Picnic Site

Granite campground and picnic site sits on the shore of Fish Creek Reservoir located in the Steamboat Springs Area and it is managed by the Hahns Peak/Bears Ears Ranger District.. There are 8 campsites available consisting of 4 walk-in tent/Day Use sites and 4 drive up sites. A vault toilet and trash services are available. Fishing and nonmotorized boating is allowed on the reservoir. Hiking, biking and ATV trails are readily available. High clearance vehicles are recommended to access this site.

Directions

Directions from Steamboat Springs: Travel 2 miles northeast of Steamboat Springs on Routt County Road 36 (Strawberry Park Road), then 13 miles northeast on Routt County Road 38 (Buffalo Pass Road) to Buffalo Pass. Go 4 miles south on FDR 310 to Fish Creek Reservoir and Granite Campground.
