Summit Trailhead

Located near the Summit Rest Area/Visitors Center/Lincoln Monument. Access to the Tie City and Happy Jack trail systems via the Headquarters and Crow Creek Loop Trails. Open seasonally with weather permitting, but you can park at the gate and hike in the winter. Trails are very wet and muddy in the springtime. One vault toilet picnic tables are available. There is a medium sized lot that allows for about 20 cars and maybe 1 trailer.

Getting There

Directions

From Laramie, take Interstate 80 east 9.5 miles to WY 210 (Exit 323). Turn onto Exit 323 and go left at the stop sign. Keep on that road past the visitors center about a mile. The paved road turns into Forest Road 705 (gravel). The trailhead parking area is located on the left hand side of the road.
