Four Mile Trailhead

The Four Mile Trailhead provides access to: Rough and Tumbling Creek Trail #617 which enters Buffalo Peaks Wilderness.

The Buffalo Peaks Wilderness was established in 1993 to preserve its quality, character, and integrity. This area is intended to be a place where the imprint of humans is substantially unnoticed; where natural processes are the primary influences, and human activity is limited to primitive recreation and minimum tools. Directions

From Buena Vista, follow County Road 371 north to County Road 375 to Forest Road 375. Follow Forest Service Road 375 to the end to reach the trailhead.
