Red Rooster Boating Site
Located on the northwest shore of Twin Lakes, the Red Rooster Boating Site allows access to the lake for stand-up paddleboarding and kayak use, and the Interlaken boat tours take off from this site. Stand-up paddleboards and kayaks can be rented at this site for a fee.

Other fishing sites for Twin Lakes are as follows: Mount Elbert Power Plant, Deception Point, Praying Angel, Dexter Point, Moache, Sunnyside (East & West), Mountain View, Whistler Point and Big Mac Fishing Site. These sites are restricted to day use only and close at 10 p.m.

This day-use site closes at 10 p.m. daily.
A valid Colorado fishing license is required. Remember to check fishing regulations before fishing at any body of water. For stocking reports and more information on regulations or fishing licenses, check out the Colorado Parks & Wildlife website.
This facility is open year-round. There is an $10.00 fee from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, unless camping within a Leadville Ranger District developed campground.
