The Forest Service proposes to use prescribed fire and mechanical thinning on a 162-acre project area near Basalt Mountain in Eagle County, Colorado, for the purpose of wildlife habitat improvement and reduction of fuel quantities. Area is comprised of mountain shrubs and aspen.
