Lost Lakes #1812

The Lost Lakes Trail begins at Skinny Fish / McGinnis Trail #1813 and ends at Chinese Wall Trail #1803. Access to the trail begins 1 mile up Skinny Fish Trail, between Skinny Fish and Lost Lakes. The trail climbs through stands of spruce burned in the 2002 Big Fish Fire, across the shoulder of Lost Lakes Peak. The Trappers Lake Amphitheatre is visible to the south, the White River Valley to the west, and Lost Lakes Peak to the north. The trail ends at Chinese Wall Trail #1803, on the divide between the Williams Fork and White River drainages.

Directions

From Meeker, CO take Colorado Highway 13 east for 1 mile, then turn right (east) on Rio Blanco County Road 8 and follow this for 39 miles. Turn south on Trappers Lake Road #205, and travel 8 miles to the Skinny Fish Trailhead parking area. Follow the Skinny Fish Trail for 1 mile to its junction with the Lost Lakes Trail.
