Mike Harris Campground
Mike Harris Campground is nestled along the scenic Teton Pass, about five miles southeast of Victor, Idaho. Situated within the Caribou-Targhee National Forest’s Teton Basin Ranger District, this campground rests at an elevation of 6,200 feet, accessible via Wyoming State Highway 22.
Natural Features: A dense forest of lodgepole pine and aspen cloaks the campground, casting ample shade over its sites and softening the rugged beauty of the Teton foothills. Trail Creek murmurs nearby, its waters teeming with Yellowstone cutthroat and brook trout.
The Mikesell Canyon Trail begins on-site, drawing hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders into the surrounding wilderness. Nearby, Grand Targhee Resort—22 miles away—offers lift-served trails and music festivals, while Grand Teton National Park’s Granite Entrance lies within an hour’s drive, promising breathtaking vistas.
Facilities: The campground offers 12 single-family sites, each equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings with grills. Vault toilets, drinking water, and trash collection are available, with a campground host on-site to assist. Roads and parking spurs are gravel, accommodating RVs and trailers up to 40 feet.
