So many outdoor activities to do on public lands. The Intermountain Region has twelve forests to recreate on whether it be for hiking, biking, camping, hiking, etc... Use the search menu or select a forest in the Forest Recreation menu below.

Be proactive for your forest visit by understanding the Intermountain Region Safety and Outdoor Ethics.

Dispersed Camping

Dispersed camping is the term used for camping anywhere on a national forest away from a designated campground and there are no services, such as trash removal, restrooms, tables and fire pits, are provided.
