Chantry Phase2
The Forest Service, Angeles National Forest, proposes to demolish and decomission a barracks building, and also construct a shuttle stop at the Chantry Flat Picnic Area. Project is funded by Great American Outdoors Act. The Angeles National Forest continues to make improvements and perform deferred maintenance at this highly popular site which provides access to numerous trail opportunities, a shaded oak forest setting for picnicking, and an adjacent pack station and store. This project enables future consideration of shuttle transportation but does not provide those services.
